About

Expert care with the warmth of someone who gets it
expectant mom breastfeeding support in ventura county ca

Hi, I'm Ellie

—a mama of 2, occupational therapist, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and Certified Neonatal Therapist with a deep passion for supporting families through their baby’s earliest feeding experiences. My work is especially meaningful to me because I’ve experienced firsthand the challenges and emotions that can come with navigating the journey of a baby experiencing feeding difficulties. That experience shaped the way I practice today. It allows me to meet families with both clinical expertise and a deeper level of empathy, understanding just how overwhelming and tender this journey can feel.

I’m here to walk alongside you and offer reassurance, guidance, and a safe space as you navigate this important and often emotional part of early parenthood.

Where My Expertise Begins

My approach is rooted in my experience at one of the nation's top children's hospitals, combined with caring for infants in a variety of settings. There, I developed a strong foundation in infant feeding and development while working with babies facing some of the most complex feeding and developmental challenges.

This breadth of experience has exposed me to cases that many providers may never encounter, allowing me to recognize subtle patterns and underlying factors that can easily be overlooked. These experiences have shaped the way I care for every family I work with. I look beyond the obvious to create a personalized plan tailored to your baby's unique needs.

The Whole Baby Approach

I take a whole baby approach, thoughtfully considering how all systems work together, because feeding is never just about feeding alone. A whole baby approach means I assess and consider body alignment, oral function, regulation, development, and the parent-infant relationship to create lasting change. I address all aspects of feeding, including but not limited to lactation, bottle feeding, swallowing impairments, oral tethers (tongue and lip tie), transition to solids, and the full spectrum of complexities seen in NICU babies, including those born as early as 22 weeks gestation.

Comprehensive Care, Without the Overwhelm

By providing lactation, feeding, and developmental support, I offer a single, supportive place for your child’s care. My goal is to ensure that you feel guided, cared for, and less overwhelmed navigating this journey. I provide comprehensive, compassionate care that meets your baby where they are and supports your family with clarity, confidence, and connection.
